Sustainability & Impact

At Reclaimed Fire, every flame has a purpose. We believe incredible food shouldn’t come at the expense of the environment; so we’re dedicated to reducing our impact while promoting responsible, sustainable fire cooking across the UK. From the materials we use to the ingredients we source, every part of our process is guided by respect: for the land, the animals, and the future.

Reclaimed Steel. Sustainable Fire.
Built to Last.

Our signature Asado BBQ cages are crafted using reclaimed and repurposed British steel; giving new life to existing materials and reducing the need for newly manufactured metals. Each cage is built to last, designed locally, and engineered with sustainability in mind.

Less waste, more reuse

Rather than relying on newly produced steel, we use repurpose materials that would otherwise go to waste. Every cage is a second chance for good steel and a step towards responsible manufacturing.

Durable equipment built for
a lifetime of use

Each BBQ cage is engineered for longevity. They’re built strong, easy to maintain, and designed to withstand years of live-fire cooking; reducing the need for constant replacement.

Supporting local trades

Our equipment is designed and built locally, championing skilled British tradespeople and keeping production within the UK. We aim to keep everything locally sourced where possible or sensible.

Zero imported manufacturing

By sourcing and fabricating everything locally, we cut transport emissions and avoid overseas manufacturing. It supports our economy and dramatically reduces our environmental impact.

Local & Responsible Sourcing

Because unforgettable flavour is built long before the fire is lit.

We work with local farmers, butchers, and produce suppliers who share our values. Whenever possible, we choose ingredients that are:

Locally sourced (reducing transport emissions)

Seasonal & fresh (better for taste and impact)

Ethically raised with full traceability

Minimally packaged or recyclable where possible

Low-Waste, High-Flavour Cooking

Live fire cooking naturally encourages thoughtful preparation and minimal waste. Our team uses every part of the ingredient that we can, and we’re constantly refining our menus to reduce leftovers without compromising abundance or hospitality.

Our approach includes:

  • On-site portion planning to minimise waste

  • Reusable serving ware & containers

  • Sustainable disposables only where necessary

  • Responsible British charcoal & wood sourcing

  • Composting / responsible disposal wherever possible

Continuous Improvement

Sustainability isn’t a checkbox it’s a journey. We’re constantly reviewing how we work to ensure we’re moving in the right direction.

British Wood & Charcoal Fuelled with Integrity

We source our firewood from Chiltern Logs on the historic Wormsley Estate, where a carefully managed felling programme helps maintain and protect the natural woodland ecosystem.

Our wood is predominantly ash and beech; as they’re slow-growing hardwoods chosen for their clean, efficient burn. They produce high, consistent heat with minimal smoke, allowing us to cook with precision while maximising natural flavour and reducing waste.

We prioritise:

  • FSC-certified charcoal & sustainably sourced wood

  • Recycled offcuts where appropriate

  • Avoiding chemical-treated or artificial fuels

  • Efficient fire management to reduce emissions & smoke

Because how the fire is made, matters just as much as what it cooks.

Supporting Local
Communities & Events

From small farms to heritage venues, we seek partnerships that strengthen local culture and craft. Whether it’s sourcing ingredients regionally or showcasing traditional fire cooking methods, we aim to bring value, not just business to the communities we serve.
