This is Our Story

Reclaimed Fire from the beginning to now...

Sept 2024: "A Garden Conversation"

It all started with a Deloitte event.

As the Executive Chef, I was tasked with sourcing a spectacular BBQ hire capable of catering for 1,200 covers. When the quotes came back, it became clear there had to be another way.

After a few conversations in the garden, the first blueprints were drawn. I taught myself to weld and built the very first prototype in my back garden; long nights after work, angle-grinding through the cold and rain, learning as I went. That determination paid off.

What began as a single idea is now a collection of eight incredible, handcrafted fire cages available for hire, built to perform at scale and designed to create unforgettable live-fire experiences.

Feb 2025: "We Had A Baby"

After a successful first event with Deloitte, we made the decision to press pause on Reclaimed Fire to focus on starting expanding our family.

During that time, we turned our attention to laying the foundations of the brand; launching the website and attempting to build a social media presence…

June 2025: "The First Lamb Cook"

With summer bookings confirmed for whole Asado lamb, we knew the cook had to be perfected well before the first event. The answer? A Father’s Day cookout.

Once again, I went back to the tools, crafting our very first lamb frame from reclaimed materials. The cook took around seven hours, during which family, friends, and neighbours gathered as the fire worked its magic.

The result was everything we hoped for; beautifully cooked lamb served with pink pepper chimichurri, toasted flatbreads, harissa honey, and our signature pink cabbage and heritage carrot slaw. The response was electric, and the hype around both our product and our brand truly began to build.

July 2025: "The 3000 Cover Call"

RAF Leeming Families Day marked our first ever 3,000-cover service and the biggest lamb cook we’ve taken on to date. With eight full lamb frames on the fire, it demanded serious skill, focus, and precision.

The journey from our HQ was a long one, around five and a half hours, so we travelled up the night before to set up the frames in advance. It became a brutal test of endurance, with very little sleep and some serious hours put in, alongside heavy movement of equipment, wood, and meat.

Was it a challenge? Absolutely. Did we smash it? Without question.

This event also marked several firsts: the debut of our branded event shelter, our logo appearing “in the wild” for the first time, and most importantly people finally experiencing what we do in real life, not just on social media.

Dec 2025: "What A Year"

Since then, we’ve delivered a wide range of successful events; from authentic South African braai equipment hire to prestigious awards dinners. Along the way, we’ve grown our social media community to over 1,000 followers and received invitations to some very special events in 2026 (more to come).

We’ve absolutely loved immersing ourselves in the UK BBQ and hospitality scene. We’ve met incredible people, shared unforgettable experiences, and we can’t wait for what’s next.

Next year is going to be big.

At Reclaimed Fire, live-fire dining is just the beginning.

Our long-term vision is to grow into a lifestyle brand that celebrates craft, fire, and sustainability in everything we create; from the equipment we cook on, to the workwear we wear, and the products we design. Using reclaimed and responsibly sourced materials isn’t a trend for us; it’s a core belief. By reimagining what already exists, we aim to build experiences, tools, and apparel that carry purpose, character, and longevity; extending the Reclaimed Fire ethos far beyond the flames.
