We’ve been lucky enough to be invited onto two episodes of The Mad Chef Podcast, sponsored by Retigo, and both experiences have been brilliant!

Episode 2 – Introducing Reclaimed Fire

Episode 2 went live in March 2026 and has since racked up an impressive 32,000 views, making it the second most-watched episode to date!

‍

It was our first opportunity to introduce Reclaimed Fire to the Mad Chef team, and we covered a bit of everything, from trade shows, culinary competitions, mass catering and VIP greenfield events to silk pyjamas and love life! 😂

‍

It was a fantastic experience, with plenty of laughs and a great chance to share more about what we do.

Episode 5: Embers Fire Festival

Following the success of Episode 2, we were invited back for Episode 5. This time, we brought podcast host Sam along for the ride, inviting him to join us at Embers Fire Festival in Shropshire for the entire weekend.

‍

And what a weekend it was. The festival was built around smaller plates at a lower price point, encouraging visitors to move between vendors and sample dishes from multiple kitchens. The result was an incredible atmosphere, with energy buzzing right across the site.

“From the moment the gates opened at 11am, we were absolutely slammed.”

We powered through two days' worth of prep in a single day, and the whole team was incredible from start to finish.

‍

The food we produced was on another level, with so many people telling us it was the best BBQ food they'd ever tasted: not just at the festival, but anywhere.

‍

Episode 5 captures plenty of the action and our experience at Embers, alongside a deeper dive into the UK BBQ scene, Smokey Joe’s fascinating background (he really is an absolute legend!) and the all-important question of what chefs actually eat during the day.

‍

As you can imagine, there were plenty of stories, laughs and great conversations along the way.

Give them a watch

Both episodes were brilliant experiences, and we're grateful to The Mad Chef team for having us on and giving us the chance to share our passion for live-fire cooking. If you haven't watched them yet, go and give them a watch.
